This is for a hand-painted decorative wooden collectible called the "Holy Sundays Sphere".  It was originally a plain white wooden finial for a staircase or something similar. It came from a home remodel and was ready to be thrown away. Saved from the trash, it now has a joyful new design. This upcycled* design was inspired by the verse in Genesis when God created the day that He made holy:   Sundays. 
 
Here are the inspiring Bible verses written around the base:
 
“By the seventh day God had finished the work that he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy...” ~ Genesis 2:2-3 (NIV). 
 
I designed a beachy theme because the verse states that when God created our World, on the seventh day He rested. What's the first thing that a lot of people think of when they think of resting or relaxing?  Laying on the beach!   So I thought it very fitting to paint a palm tree on a beach...I can just hear the ocean now! RELAX.
 
You can display this collectible by simply setting it on a table top, desk top, shelf, etc. It can be a great inspiration for you to see it everyday and remember that we need a little relaxation every now and then...just like God did.
 
This collectible looks a lot like a beachy snow globe and even has little shimmery sparkles all over it.  If you look in the very top of the palm tree, you will see a gold cross painted right in the middle of the palm fronds. I've painted the whole background a light blue for the sky with turquoise waves all around the base of the tree. Right below that is painted a sort of tan color to represent the sand and there are real shells, starfish and sea glass scattered on the "beach." The very bottom part of the base is painted a dark brown and the Bible verses are written around it in gold cursive writing. 
 
The whole item measures 5-3/4" tall by 3-1/4" across at the base.
 
I truly hope that it will bring you lots of joy every time you look at it!  When you surround yourself with things in your home that bring you joy, it's easy to feel more joyful everyday!
 
Please keep in mind that this is a hand-painted item and is definitely one-of-a-kind so no one else will have one like it!  
The paint used was acrylic paint and everything was varnished to give it a little shine.  Be sure to read the "Cleaning & Care Instructions Section" so you can treasure your collectible for many years.
